8th Cadian was previously known as "The Lord Castellan's Own,"
A regimental name that was famed throughout the Imperium for their skill and discipline. They stand as the front line of defense against the predations of Chaos, staring into the very gates of hell, the courage of Cadia's soldiery having repeatedly saved the Imperium from the rampages and depredations of the Forces of Chaos. Amongst the most illustrious of regiments the Cadian 8th stands at the fore. Its low designation indicates that it was first founded thousands of years ago, perhaps during the earliest days of the Imperium itself, and has been re-founded many times since to ensure that its glorious heritage never dies. Previously known as "The Lord Castellan's Own," their commander was no other than the lauded and much beloved Lord Castellan of Cadia, Ursarkar E. Creed. Now seemed to be cursed, it has been completely decimated on missions marked as routine missions in systems not known for large incursions, all companies reported KIA or MIA and the entire system goes dark, not a word in our out. For the last 2 regiments that bared this name are gone never seen or heard from again, all except one person, the regimental officer Lord General Adrik Fedorov. Federov being a hero from the 13th Black Crusade, awarded several times by Ursarkar himself for his leadership and heroism, he was the obvious choice to take over leadership on the 8th Cadian after the disappearance or Ursarkar Creed following the ending of the 13th Black Crusade.
